THE FESTIVAL & ITS IMPACT
The annual Spring Fling Festival & Tour of Homes showcases Atlanta's historic & vibrant Kirkwood neighborhood. Join thousands of residents from throughout the metro area in Bessie Branham Park for a day of sun, fun and community. Everyone is ready to get out, party, and celebrate with friends they've missed the past year.
The Spring Fling is the primary fundraiser for the Kirkwood Neighbors Organization (KNO), a 501c3 dedicated to strengthening the local community. Festival proceeds are used to fund efforts ranging from school & park improvements to resident-assistance programs like Adopt-a-Senior and Neighbor in Need.
5K ROAD RACE
The 5K Road Race always kicks off the festivities at 8:30am with a fun course through the Kirkwood neighborhood. Run, walk, bring your stroller, or your dog(s) and join the fun! Great opportunity for sponsors!
TOUR OF HOMES
Tour Kirkwood's historic homes, new construction homes, and creative renovations! Interior decoration and outdoor spaces on display for your enjoyment! A truly special opportunity for sponsors to reach our neighbors!
Bring your best wing game to challenge for awesome prizes and bragging rights as Kirkwood Wing Fling champ! Sponsor the Wing Fling to have your name on the event, designate a judge, and receive on-stage recognition.
Our Kids Area presented by Atlanta United in the center of the large field at Bessie Branham Park has fun activities for younger family members with tickets or wristbands for sale at a nearby tent. Set up a picnic blanket nearby & enjoy!
The streets surrounding Bessie Branham park are blocked off for our exciting and eclectic Artist Market with over 150+ artists offering their wares. Artist Market Vendor sign up deadline is April 15, 2022.
An entire street along the east edge of the park is reserved for our food trucks & carts offering tasty treats to hungry & thirsty festival goers. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure as you serve our huge crowds.
Complimentary, convenient, and secure bicycle parking near Hosea Williams Drive and Kirkwood Road near the Library.
Take bus route 24 from the Edgewood/Candler Park station directly to the festival entrance, or walk, scoot, or ride-share from the East Lake station.
Limited un-metered street parking is available near the festival. Please be respectful of driveways, crosswalks, and pedestrians! Some churches and businesses offer paid lots.
HOW TO GET TO THE FESTIVAL
HOW YOU CAN HELP
We have lots of great opportunities for sponsors to participate! Gain exposure in our neighborhood and among the thousands of visitors that join us for the Kirkwood Spring Fling 5K, Festival, & Tour of Homes each year!
Volunteering at the Spring Fling is the only way to get your hands on each year's exclusive T-shirt with the Spring Fling artwork on the front and sponsors on the back. Volunteering is SUPER fun and a great way to meet neighbors!
Planning the Spring Fling each year is a great way to meet fellow neighbors and to help ensure the KNO's marquee annual event that raises funds for Kirkwood Adopt a Senior and Neighbor in Need is huge success!
