Kirkwood Neighbors Organization
Kirkwood’s Parks and Public Greenspaces are more than 65 acres of parks and publicly owned greenspaces in Kirkwood that includes four conventional parks, two forest preserves, three community gardens, and a historical cemetery originating in pioneer days. These are connected by an evolving system of non-vehicular routes focused on pedestrian and bicycle connectivity and movement away from vehicular dependency.
The KNO has long history of being proactive regarding it’s public park and greenspaces that generates 2,000 to 3,000 volunteer hours annually.
