Kirkwood Neighbors Organization
Kirkwood Cares is a committee of the Kirkwood Neighbors Organization 501(c)(3) that exists to fight displacement in our neighborhood by providing critical repairs to low-income neighbors' homes. We primarily accomplish this through meeting neighbors, understanding their repair needs, hiring licensed & insured contractors to make the repairs (often at reduced rates), and fundraising to cover the costs of the repairs. We also coordinate volunteer opportunities for gutter cleaning, painting, and light construction projects.
WAYS YOU CAN GET INVOVLED!
Our project managers will make take on a project once a neighbor has made contact. Project managers do home visits, collect intake & waiver forms, provide details about the work that needs to be done, sometimes help find contractors, and coordinate the work with the home owners and contractors once the work has been approved by the Kirkwood Cares Committee!
Intake Forms, Release Waivers, Estimates, Invoices, Contact information, Donors and Donations, Project Statuses...these all need to be carefully organized and tracked. We need the help of organized, disciplined volunteers to keep us running smoothly and keep our records straight!

We need creative, self-driven volunteers to design and execute fundraisers throughout the year to ensure we can afford to provide critical repairs to our neighbors homes! Grant discovery and grant writing is something we also need help with!
